Visiting Jeju – The Splendid Island Land
Our world is full of naturally beautiful places, and some remain better secrets than others. Jeju Island, an island off the coast of South Korea, is one of the best-kept. This gorgeous island is considered the Hawaii of Korea and the Island of the Gods in relation to its stunning natural beauty. It’s unique natural formations attract people from Korea and other southeastern countries, but visitors aren’t limited to there. Over all, it’s a great vacation destination. If you are thinking of traveling to Jeju or anywhere else outside the US, you will need to get a passport first, which you can do by filling out a United States passport online application.

One of the most famous attractions in Jeju is Manjanggul, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Manjanggul is the world’s largest lava tube and it is located in a cave filled with many other very interesting yet very strange lava formations. A very rare species of bat calls this cave home. The geological formations made from the cooled lava are interesting, so don’t miss out on seeing The Lava Pillar, The Lava Turtle, and the Wing-Shaped Wall.
Yet another World Heritage Site is Seongsan Ilchubong, a very old volcano which tourists are able to climb to the top of. People regard it as a national symbol of Jeju, and many will recommend climbing to the top to see a sunrise. One of Jeju’s claims to fame is the collection of particularly odd museums they have. For example, there is a Green Tea Museum, a Teddy Bear Museum, and several other bizarre ones. Loveland is almost a museum. It’s actually a park filled with sexually suggestive sculptures. Oh, and there’s also a sex shop on site too.
Jeju is really one of those places where natural beauty and culture come together to create an amazing vacation experience. You will have to get a passport before you go, though, which can be done as soon as you submit a U.S. passport online application. You can also renew U.S. passport online if you have one that’s expired.
