The best airport in the UK?
Some airports simply add to the stress of flying, places like Charles de Gaulle in Paris for example. Its horribly complicated, usually dirty and smelly and is so badly designed it takes an hour to actually get anywhere. On the other hand, Heathrows new (ish) Terminal 5, is modern, sleek and has the fastest bag carousel in the world ensuring you get where youre going much quicker.
But when it comes to some of the other UK airports you can fly in and out of, Luton hardly springs to the top of your mind, yet it provides all of the basic services the big guns do and does so in what feels like an easy, uncomplicated way. To start with, Luton airport parking is relatively painless and actually pretty easy. Unlike the other big airports, you wont get lost, dont need to walk miles to get anywhere and even the restaurants seem better priced.
The airport is also served by an incredible selection of Luton airport hotels offering great deals on overnight stays and they arent just run of the mill places with boxes for bedrooms, they include proper hotels with complimentary gyms and spas. The area also has plenty of banks and financial services allowing you to change your currency up or book some last minute travel insurance.
There are plenty of places to eat too, not only on the airport complex, but a little further away you will find some top quality eateries. When it comes to checking in though, all airports are the same arent they? Well as it turns out, no they arent and again Luton seems to provide a stressless environment to get through security.
Its difficult to imagine choosing a destination based solely on where you fly from perhaps, but the next time you want to jet off to sunnier climbs, youd do well to remember that you can get to India, Hong Kong, North Africa, Greece, Turkey and almost every major European country from Luton.
