Say ‘Greece’! Picture Perfect Corfu Hotels

Hailed as a photographer’s paradise, a weekend break to Greece will provide a plethora of stunning and breathtaking photo opportunities. At just 36 miles long and 14 miles wide, what Corfu lacks in size it certainly makes up for in captivating beaches and impressive architecture. Corfu hotels and local eateries will help give you a real sense of the famous Greek hospitality. So arm yourself with your camera and head for these breathtaking spots to capture for a lifetime.

Beaches are what the island does best. Greece hotels in the village of Sidari are full of the country’s famous charm and within close proximity of canal d’amour, a beach made up of coves and canals created by the sea with rocks in various shades of yellow. This is a completely unique beach and well worth a visit.

The bay of Kalami, nestled below the North East Corfu hills is home to Myrtiotisa beach. The region is also home to the beautiful Monastery of Myriotissa, located just above the beach, and a site you’ll want to capture too. Kalami is also famed for the Durrell ‘White House’, the Corfu residence of British authors Lawrence and Gerald Durrell which overlooks Kalami Bay.

The picturesque Pelekas beach, opposite Corfu main town, is a clean sandy beach set against a dramatic backdrop of rugged hills. The old fishing harbour just south of the beach is a quaint harbour that will inject your photos with a real sense of what the island used to be like. Corfu hotels here provide a great location for your trip, and are close to some charming traditional restaurants and bars.

Beaches and natural beauty aside, the island has great architecture to photograph too. Influenced by powerful nations, the buildings and streets are an amalgamation of Sicilian, Venetian, French and British styles. An important and impressive landmark is the Kaiser Bridge, built in such a way that it forms an arch over the main connecting road to the island. Although bombed in the Second World War, it makes a great subject to photograph. There are a number of Greece hotels in the area too.
