For a long time many cities throughout Great Britain have reinvigorated themselves and this is especially so with the colourful metropolis of Liverpool. Liverpool, at one time the second city of the British Empire, fell into sharp decline in the years following the Second World War. Liverpool seems to have brought forth a massive number of entertainers, with a great many musicians, actresses, actors and comedians being able to claim the city as their birthplace.

Older attractions include St Georges Hall, the Walker Art Gallery and the World Museum Liverpool (& Planetarium).
